Kidde Recalls Dual Sensor Smoke Alarm Due to Potential Safety Risk
Kiddie issued a recall for two of their dual sensor smoke alarms, Models PI2010 and PI9010, because there may have been a yellow cap left on the inside of the smoke alarm that would affect the smoke alarms ability to detect smoke. This yellow cap is visible on the inside of the smoke detector by looking through the side of the smoke detector. If you have one of these models, you will want to replace it immediately. The smoke detector that was found to be compromised was the smoke detector that had a pill shaped bump as a design on the front of the smoke detector.
